This eight week class is open to all levels of jewellery makers.
You’ll learn how to carve waxes to be cast using the lost wax casting process and the ancient technique of sand casting.
Waxes will be cast using the lost wax casting process by Regal castings. Once cast into metal you’ll learn finishing techniques to complete your jewellery back in the workshop.
Our experienced jewellers will also lead you through the technique of sand casting. You’ll create multiple experimental pieces using small objects to create negative space in delft clay, in which to pour your molten silver in this organic casting process.
Please note delft clay, metal and crucibles are available to purchase at an additional cost, or we can direct you to our suppliers to bring your own.
